Tiny Desk Studio Sessions: Blair Immink

  • Virtual Thames Art Gallery (map)

Join TAG’s Emerging Artist in Residence Danielle Coleman in the virtual series, Tiny Desk Studio Sessions, as she hosts live studio visits with creatives practicing across Ontario.

Currently based in Toronto, ON. Blair is a graduate of OCAD U from the Drawing & Painting program, in May 2020.

Blair uses found objects ranging from; textiles, ceramics, ‘garbage,’ urban findings, etc. to compose a visual literacy.

Blair uses collage and assemblage methodologies to construct different things such as painting-installations, clothing, collages, and much more.

Practicing using found objects and material, Blair proposes ways of enhancing the everyday and choosing joy.

Casual, from a distance, and looking to inspire your at home studio practice. Join the chat as Danielle asks creatives about their practice. What's inspiring them, keeping them motivated during the pandemic and moving forward, all while working on projects in the studio, collaging, doodling, writing and painting.

Grab a drink and head to your studio or creative space to hear about what creative folks are up to!

All Studio Sessions will encourage an open Q&A in the comment section if you want to learn more about each creative!

From 9 to 10 PM EST on fb live, screen sharing Zoom call
